By evaluating admission essays, colleges measure their applicants’ abilities. Their creativity, values, knowledge, understanding, perceptions and many more virtues reflects from these essays. In addition, college admission essays show their writers’ language skills in various aspects.

Selecting a topic
Within this backdrop, choosing unfamiliar topics for an essay makes you weak in writing. If you are familiar with the selected topic, you can show your writing ability to impress others rather than writing on a topic that you don’t have much to say about. Therefore, it is better to select familiar topic when you are asked to write college admission essays.

Writing college admission essay is an occasion where you should reflect your knowledge on the selected topic as well as your competency in language maximum. When you are answering these types of questions, you have to convince them with your reasons. Creativity
The other category of question in college admission essays are prepared to evaluate your creativity. They may be questions to write an essay on a famous personality, your views on national problems, or analytical elaboration on an important event, etc. ‘What are your solutions for the ethnic problems?’ and ‘The most influential personality you like most’ are examples for these types of essays. When you respond to these type of topics, you have to give your in depth knowledge on the subjects. When you write about personalities, don’t put erroneous details about them just to impress your peers and instead always abide to the facts and be creative in your writing.
